What to expect at a treatment

Please allow up to 1 and a half hours for your first appointment. During the consultation, you will be asked for a thorough history of your dog’s medical treatment and diagnosed conditions, as well as your dog’s activities of daily living, diet, exercise routine, and home environment.

I will assess your dog’s gait and posture before performing advanced palpation to identify areas of concern.

I am trained in 4 disciplines of massage:

  • Swedish massage

  • Sports massage

  • Deep tissue massage

  • Myofascial release, including the Lenton Method ®

The treatment is always adapted to suit the needs and abilities of your dog, and generally lasts around 30-40 minutes.

After the treatment, I will give you detailed aftercare instructions and a recommended course of treatment. In order to ensure continuity of care, I will send your vet a report of my findings.

Subsequent appointments will last around 45 minutes.

In compliance with the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and the Veterinary Exemptions Order 2015 I do not treat any dog without veterinary consent. I will happily arrange this via your own vet should you wish me to treat your dog.

I have a clinic Mondays to Thursdays at Chaseview Vets, Ross on Wye, HR9 6QD. I also offer home visits should this work best for you and your dog. Please call or message me for an appointment.
